Regenerative Medicine: In the right clinical setting, Dr. Kandil strongly believes in harnessing the body’s natural ability to heal itself, and utilizes biologics as an option for patients with persistent pain. The area of orthobiologics is an exciting frontier in medicine and Dr. Kandil is actively involved in performing research, writing book chapters, and using biologic treatments like platelet rich plasma (PRP) and autologous stem cell therapy (bone marrow aspirate concentrate) in select conditions that have strong scientific and clinical evidence to support their use.
