James Reeves, MD

Dr. Reeves is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement surgery. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2007, followed by a fellowship in Hip and Knee Replacement at the prestigious Anderson Clinic.

Dr. Reeves utilizes the latest surgical techniques to optimize patient care, including procedures such as anterior approach hip replacement and robotic assisted knee replacement surgery. A strong believer in the team approach, he works closely with the anesthesia teams to develop multi-modal pain management protocols. The combination of modern surgical technique and pain management allows many patients to return safely to their homes on the day of surgery. Dr. Reeves has collaborated in the development of a home based rehabilitation program that utilizes smart phone technology to assist patients in their preparation for and recover from surgery.

Dr. Reeves is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeon and an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He has been recognized as a top doctor by Northern Virginia Magazine and currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital.
